A project of Stigma Marketing & Development.

About Us

Every Human’s Journey™ is a slow-burn project grounded in recovery, development, and honest psychology. It began in 2024 during a stretch of building something real—pulling together years of lived experience, therapeutic frameworks, group work, and personal growth. Created by Paule Patterson III and supported by a handful of collaborators, EHJ is not a brand or a content funnel. It’s an evolving, tested model built to walk people through their own inner work, one week and one idea at a time.

personal RECOVERY & development collided

🔧 ROOTED IN RECOVERY, BUILT THROUGH EXPERIENCE

In the spring of 2024, Paule Patterson III was trying to build something from the ground up. He was starting Stigma Marketing & Development, doing website and development work for small businesses, nonprofits, and mental health providers, and nearly three years sober from alcohol. At the same time, he was working on a healthy masculinity project with Dr. Don Schweitzer—a clinician and professor with a background in trauma, CBT, and spiritual integration.

The idea for EHJ hit while working on that project.

Not slowly, not vaguely—clearly. A holon (a person who is both whole and made of parts, and also part of something larger) moving through the Hero’s Journey. That was the spark. It wasn’t a brand concept or product idea—it was something that made use of everything he had learned, lived, and built: theology, psychology, recovery work, curriculum design, development consulting, and more.

Paule had already helped build journals and treatment frameworks, developed suicide prevention training, and coached others through transitions and self-integration. The bones of EHJ had been forming for a long time. The model just gave them structure.

Psychology, philosophy, & a few BATTLES

🧱 WHERE EHJ DRAWS FROM

Every Human’s Journey™ rests on two core ideas: the individual as a holon—a whole made of parts and part of something larger—and the Hero’s Journey as a structure for facing change and returning with something gained. Around that, the model draws directly from the things that helped: Jungian psychology, cognitive behavioral theory, recovery work, mindfulness, radical acceptance, and the lived experience of wrestling with ego, integration, and identity. It wasn’t built out of theory. It was built from use. Everything in EHJ is there because it served a purpose, gave language to real things, or opened something up that needed to be faced.

“Rather than offering a one-size-fits-all solution, it invites every human to embark on a personal journey inward.”

Dr. Schweitzer, Sierra Counseling & Coaching

HOW IT WAS TESTED

A group of men. Twelve weeks. No performance, just honesty.

In the fall and early winter of 2024, Paule gathered a small group of men in Missoula to pilot the model. The goal wasn’t to teach or lead—it was to test the scaffolding and see if the structure held up in a real room.
It did.

Men opened up. They shared things they hadn’t said aloud before. They recognized themselves in each other. One of the most consistent takeaways: “I didn’t know other men struggled with the same things.”

The group was self-led and self-reflective. The content was shared, wrestled with, and applied week by week. The guidelines gave structure, and the roles rotated. The experience confirmed what the framework suggested: people don’t need a guru—they need a shared language and a space that holds.

Dr. Schweitzer reviewed and edited the materials, applying his clinical background to the CBT scaffolding and final format. A few other trusted colleagues gave feedback—especially from Jungian and narrative perspectives. But the core remained unchanged: it was usable. And it worked.

It’s Our Story too

A Path for Change and Connection

By integrating psychology, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), the Hero’s Journey framework, and an interrelational or intrapersonal experience, we guide individuals through autonomous transformation—whether in life, leadership, recovery, rehabilitation, or personal growth. We are committed to testing, refining, and evolving this program organically, ensuring it remains deeply effective, adaptable, and accessible to all who seek peace and change. Our desire is to ultimately make EHJ as available and accessible as possible for individuals and leaders.

Our Vision

To create a world where every person has the tools, language, and support to understand their own story, connect meaningfully with others, and step into a life of authenticity, resilience, and meaning.

Our Mission

Every Human’s Journey™ exists to help people understand themselves and others through intentional, approachable, and authentic subjective self-application using objective concepts and practices.

Still in test phase—and intentionally so

🔭 WHERE IT’S AT NOW

EHJ is still a living project. The workbook is available on Amazon. A free digital version will be released soon. The EHJ Journal—a solo-use companion built around the same 12-week arc—is currently in development.

Facilitator resources, community offerings, and training materials are on the drawing board but not rushed. For now, we’re looking for more people willing to test it—individuals, groups, organizations—anyone serious about honest growth and willing to offer feedback in return.

It’s not about scale. It’s about depth.

It’s not self-help in the way we’ve come to expect it. It’s an invitation to look inward, to step into your own story, and to rediscover the courage it takes to face yourself honestly.”
